VITAMIN DEMOCRACY WORKS!!!
and yet, our work is not done. We need some PROACTIVE VITAMIN DEMOCRACY!
Call and email Governor Sean Parnell and ask that a reasonable, moderate, science-minded individual like a Ben Grussendorf be appointed to the Alaska Board of Game!
Governor Parnell’s phone number is 907.465.3500

Finally, finally a break for the wolves of Alaska! This is awesome news. Thanks for all you have done Shannyn. I know Gordon Haber would be proud that the Board of Game did the right thing.

Shannyn, will the Board of Game have to wait until November to re vote on the Denali Buffer Zone?

funny about the pronunciation of his name…reminds me of an old Brit TV comedy “Keeping Up Appearances” where lead character Hyacinth Bucket insisted the last name was French & pronounced “boo-kay”…bwahahaa!

Congratulations Alaskans……….it’s hard work “keepin’ them honest”……but it sure feels good and it is worth every bit of effort.
If you could just convince folks that it much easier to inform yourself of the issues and get out and vote than it is to try to rectify it later.
Sarah Palin wasn’t the most corrupt but she should be your biggest lesson about just how important it is.

@ Martha
“If you could just convince folks that it much easier to inform yourself of the issues and get out and vote than it is to try to rectify it later.”
Well said. We don’t all have to agree on everything in order for reasonable views to prevail.

Shannyn,
Why are YOU not in politics? You need to be, really, you work so hard for your city, state, and country….You are amazing. I don’t think you’d have a problem getting elected at all. God knows you wouldn’t have to start as Mayor….you could go for Senate….or GOVERNOR!!!! Alaska needs you Shannyn…
Shannyn, Shannyn, Shannyn!

I think Shannyn would be a tremendous asset as a politician-Alaska State Rep/Senator, Governor, US Rep/Senator.
However, she is such a tremendous talent as a media personality on television and radio-I think she can positively affect more change in that arena.
I really wish MSNBC and maybe Premier, Dial Global or even Clear Channel would pick her up for a national show. Until then…we are lucky to have her on local airwaves!
Thank you Shannyn for being the driving force on so many issues.

Good work, Shannyn and AKM and others.

Thanks for your hard work on this issue. Thanks for the vote list, too. I hope everyone who sent emails about Barrette sends thank-you messages to those legislators who voted against him. They all need to know that it matters that they listened.
And we have to make wildlife management a big, big campaign issue this fall. It’s the only way to stop this senselessness.

Now we just have to get rid of Rossi. I hear they are working on it.

Yeah! so close tho, Geez but RIP Mr.Haber, we’ll continue the fight. Dyson & Keller, true Palinbots, the legislators from Chugiak are worth $ 0 . They really don’t care so I always have to send POMs & call all the legislators. But this time it worked. Thanks everyone & esp Shannyn & others for getting out all the info. OK Vitamin time.

This was indeed good news. Those phone calls to the Congress folk do make a difference. Even those who do not listen learn from seeing their phones light up with dissent. Those who might be tempted to run for an office in the future do pay attention. The tea baggers and extremist sniff around this state looking for districts that appear not to support a progressive agenda, then throw their hats into the ring backed by right wing funding. My own district 19 is proof of that, but we will sniff out the pretenders, and send them packing. So, when progressives call in and protest, it makes a difference.

Does anybody know what’s going on with Bettye Davis? Is she sick with something serious, or is something else going on?
