I’m off for a day or two…time to re-load, and Homer, Alaska does it for me. What ever re-boots you, feeds your spirit, makes you look with love on all you can…do it. Life is short.
Home is a place you grow up wanting to leave, and grow old wanting to get back to. ~John Ed Pearce

You can always go home.
There’s a reason “they” say that, whoever they are.
Breathe deep, and take in some good, fresh energy. Come back renewed.
peace.

Have fun. Homer is one of the few other places I could live in in this state.

Enjoy the ride! Be safe. Recharge. And is it true that SPOCK has a house in Homer? Inquiring Trekkie husbands what to know.

Well, well, well, lookie what was just signed: http://www.gov.state.ak.us/news.php?id=1797 Did she actually read your post, Shannyn, and decide that she’d better do the right thing by our Territorial Guard vets? I suppose stranger things have happened in the Land of the Midnight Sun…

I’m so jealous. I won’t be back to Homer until 2010. I’m counting the days! Relax and enjoy.

Shannyn, enjoy your trip home. Homer is truly beautiful, and it will refresh your spirit.
I have a picture that Nita Engle painted of Halibut Cove hanging in my entry. It lifts my spirit as I enter my home.

You are so lucky to have a beautiful place to go home to.
I read the quote by Pearce. It is so true.
We sold the family home when my mom died 3 years ago. I did not realize how attached I was to the home. I hope that you all have a place to go home to even in your memories!

Nice… enjoy your recharge!
I usually go to the bunya (sauna) for a extra hour.

We love Homer. We have stayed at the Shorebird Guest House and there is nothing like sitting out and look at the Bay. The fresh air, the sky, the people – it’s All Good!

Water is good for the soul. Sit back and have a cold one (or maybe in Alaksa you STILL need a warm one?)
Always love seeing you on Countdown!
