Voices For The Ocean

OK, Homer time! I will be taking part in the S.O.S. for the oceans.  Here are the details:

Cook Inletkeeper, Alaska Marine Conservation Council & Others”Time and Place”
Sunday, September 6, 2009
Time:
2:00pm – 7:00pm
Location:
On the Boardwalk behind Mako’s Water Taxi on the Homer Spit.

Climate change is turning our oceans more acidic, and it poses profound threats to our spectacular marine resources. We need boats and bodies to help spell-out an anti-ocean acidification message on Kachemak Bay – so we can show our politicians that the time to take serious action is NOW! And don’t miss a great after-party/rally with fresh fish, fine beverages and live music from Homer’s best! Please call Alan Parks if you have a boat, kayak, skiff or buoy!

Jeff Pantages has surfaced on ADN with a piece:
We can’t afford health care overhaul

“I have never understood the pell-mell rush to reform the health care system. I don’t think it’s broken — badly, anyway” WTH???? Rush?? Guess they classify Decades rushing it.
