Palin: “A Sociopath?”

The ADN has posted some Going Rogue blow back from Palin’s legislative director, John Bitney.

Here is the clip of the panel’s response when an audience member asked: “Is Palin sane?”

  1. Brilliant! Great panel and you are wonderful!

  2. Funny! Loved it.

  3. funny & on point…you found your calling, Shannyn…keep up the excellent work!

  4. Sadly, I have long thought that Sarah was a sociopath. She seems to be a person with no conscience.

    • I’m of the same opinion as you, she is definitely a sociopath and alot of them use God as a shield.

      • The God of S’error Palin is the God of Cotton Mather. I remain unconvinced that that’s a good thing.

  5. You all ROCK!

  6. Shannyn, you are a delight to watch – you have a presence on television that is very charismatic. I became a fan after seeing you on Countdown with KO and have followed you since on Huffpost and here. Thanks for putting up the youtube clips of your show – I loved being able to see it here in Richmond, Virginia.
Your message is resonating with non-Alaskans so keep up the excellent work in showing the country what a fraud Sarah Palin is! Your smart, intelligent, reasoned, logical, factual refutation of the lies Ms. Palin tells is exactly what needs to be heard by those in the MSM that continue to promote her and the citizens of this country who don’t know yet what a danger she is to our democracy.

  7. Shannyn, you rocked that gig!
KO should call on you to be his guest host!

  8. Definitely some form of sociopathy (specifically narcissism), however sociopaths are often quite successful in our current culture.

With the fall of another extraordinary charmer, Bernie Madoff, I think on the whole, their time is coming to an end.

If Palin had happened on the political stage in an era where only a few people had access to audio and video equipment, and information could be better monitored by those in power, she could have played her game of charm and ruthlessness for many a decade.

Now she fears the “media” and “fact-checkers” and with very good reason.

It must have been a horrible epiphany for John Bitney to realize he had befriended and supported this conscienceless woman. Of what benefit to her was it to belittle this former friend?

I hope the supporters and friends she currently has, come to realize that after their usefulness to her is over, their livelihoods and reputations are completely disposable to her.

  9. agree with MissSunshine.
I am disappointed that something seems to have axed frankly bailed’s journalistic aspiration.
I have to admit that I must check the fool-me-once column:(

  10. Take a look here at the common traits of a sociopathic or psychopathic personality, and see how many of those traits you think Sarah Palin possesses.

I think John Bitney hit the nail on the head.

  11. Oh my god loved reading your post. I submitted your rss to my google reader.

  12. Shannyn: I loved this. Read “And so it goes…” today. Sombering look at Sarah Palin’s reality.

  13. Love It!!

Having not known much about Alaska politics before finding your blog, it’s a good sign that they’re watching your show, and that they’re soooooo upset.

Can’t wait for the next installment!

  14. The show and you are a perfect fit!

You’re super on Olbermann, but with the time constraints, it’s harder to have the appearance of being relaxed in that you are trying to get as much information in answering his questions.

Moore Up North is it!! Informative, Relaxed and great Humour!!

  15. Yes, this did deserve a post of its own. How many long months have we been waiting for someone who “knows” her to confirm?

  16. I watched all the segments of “Moore Up North!” the other night … excellent show!

I’ve not read any ADN articles recently, but did with this one: and cannot believe that Van Flein is still rushing to SP’s defense , but more interesting to me was that the comments section has taken a decidedly different turn than in the not so distant past. Granted, perhaps the Palinbots aren’t being as disruptive in the comments section as they had once been any longer, but so far I’ve not seen one comment supportive of SP (although I’m only on page 5 of the comments).

  17. Wonderful show Shannyn. Looking forward to another round of them. You ask the right questions, have a great sense of humor and personality….just needs a little work on the sound sync part. 😉

  18. What i am reading today is that we have to think local. AFTER THAT GREAT (Talk of Alaska) We must be aware of what is coming our way with the downfall of the continental side of our union.
I always thought that should the economy fail the money grubbers would leave. well now they are “idealists ‘ and they could flock here. We need to build a consensus of what to do. I dont want to give my home to a bunch of ignorant bigoted assholes.

  19. I have a “IDEA” it appears like a winner – a thread that might get the point across-

How about ——– drumroll please……………….. “if Sarah Was Queen,” what would life be like. The top 100000 thoughts-

To continue – Rules need to be established- 1. Each participant is limited to no more than 10 responses.

    Rule 2. “See rule 1.”

Rule 3. Civility and decency should be required- realism could be helpful as well.

I will set the tone –

“if Sarah Was Queen,” what life would be like-

    1. There would be no more abortions.

    2. We would drastically cut taxes on small business.

    3. Oil and big business would be taxed more.

    4. If oil refused to “drill baby drill” (due to the taxes) we would take back thier leases.

    5. We would eliminate most of the wolves.

    6. There would be a “Moose in every Pot.”

    7. “Clean Coal” power generators would sprout up across America and spew (whatever they spew).

    8. Polar Bears would loose Federal designation as an endangered species even though now there is a Northwest Passage.

    9. Fearmongering and Hate 101 is required at all community colleges.

There are my 9- Toss out a few.

  20. this life long dem supports anything that andrew halcro does

wish he would move to california and run for gov here

we need his kind in this state

  21. 2012 Republican choices……Dick Cheney, Sarah Palin, Lou Dobbs, Bobby Jindal, Ron Paul, David Petraeus, Mitt Romney.
2012 Democratic choices should be, Micky Mouse, Cookie Monster, Wonder Dog, Bugs Bunny, Road Runner and Felix the Cat.
By the way Felix the Cat would get my vote haha!
Republican voices like Linbaugh, Beck, Dobbs, Palin, Cheney, all seem to me like cartoons.
Wow how could we as liberals NOT win in 2012, I mean really?

  22. Check out the picture on this blog:

(it literally reads that on the feed at the bottom of the video…too funny)

Former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin devoted a chunk of her book to explaining her disastrous interview with CBS News’ Katie Couric.

Asked if she would ever grant an interview to the anchor again, the “Going Rogue” author said she would rather Couric be in the hot seat. “I want to know if she understands yet what we have to contribute up there in the state of Alaska,” Palin told Fox News.

THIS is what truly made Sarah mad. That Couric pointed out whilst Palin was mocking Biden for his age, HER running mate was 72. Palin is so used to sniping she didn’t THINK about that and looked like an idiot.

Her trademark feistiness ( I call it sophomoric sniping) is on display as she delivers a punchy sound bite about her rival, Joe Biden.

“I’m looking forward to meeting him, too. I’ve never met him before. But I’ve been hearing about his Senate speeches since I was in, like, second grade,” she said at a campaign rally.

Couric: You have a 72-year-old running mate – is that kind of a risky thing to say, insinuating that Joe Biden’s been around a while?

Palin: Oh no, it’s nothing negative at all. He’s got a lot of experience and just stating the fact there, that we’ve been hearing his speeches for all these years. So he’s got a tremendous amount of experience and, you know, I’m the new energy, the new face, the new ideas and he’s got the experience.

  24. An email I received today from a Senior Citizen. It’s entitled “The Grim Reaper”

    “Dear Grim Reaper,

So far this year you have taken away my favorite dancer and entertainer Michael Jackson, my favorite actor Patrick Swayze, and my favorite actresses Bea Arthur and Farrah Fawcett…

    Just so you know, my favorite politician is Sarah Palin. >:-}

    Thank you”

    • I burst out laughing when I read that email. Thanks for sharing.

      • If you enjoy laughing, as I do. You’ve got to see Robin Williams on David Letterman last night. I believe it’s still up on Huffington Post. He does several bits about Sarah, and then the rest of his interview is hysterical. He’s brilliant.

    • If I thought God would take her away, I would claim her as my favorite politician, too.

  25. Being thanksgiving i would like to thank you and Steve Heimel ? SP. and Gryphen and never to forget Jean. And Leah i think she is just awesome.
The whole lot of Alaska bloggers are to be envied. A day off is a well earned thing. and should you have the time after dinner Shannyn you could go to krakers for an apertif.I left a chip for you.

  26. one word: FABULOUS!

  27. Love it!

Thanks for posting these clips! We’re in the lower 48, and don’t get good tv here.
