Alyeska CEO Kevin Hostler RESIGNS; Jason Leopold on The Shannyn Moore Show 1st Hour

By Jason Leopold, Truthout

According to employees, Kevin Hostler, the chief executive officer of Alyeska Pipeline, informed staff of his resignation Wednesday morning – one day after Truthout published an extensive investigative report that was highly critical of his management of the company and revealed details of alleged mismanagement from insider sources and documents.

Alyeska employees told Truthout that Hostler announced his resignation, effective September 30, at a company-wide meeting that took place early this morning. One employee said the company will make an official announcement later today.

Over the past several months, Alyeska Pipeline and Hostler have been under intense scrutiny by a Congressional oversight committee and an independent investigator, who has been probing explosive allegations leveled by managers that severe cost-cutting efforts could put the integrity of the 800-mile Trans Alaska Pipeline System (TAPS) at risk.

  1. More proof that speaking truth to power does pay off. it will be interesting to see the fallout from his resignation.

  2. Thank goodness Jason can actually do investigative journalism. I heard him on Thom Hartmann’s Show telling Peter B Collins how the ” big Newspaper boys ” are of stealing his work and not even giving him site credit. Thanks Truthout!

  3. Thanks for your passion and light, Jason!

  4. This is one more reason why we have to support sites like Truth-Out. If they don’t do it, who will?
