Palin Wants Profiling

In an interview with Sean Hannity, Sarah Palin calls the Fort Hood shooting an act of terrorism and is ready to bring on profiling…really?  Do you think she believes the killing of Dr. Tiller was an act of terrorism and we should start profiling “pro-life”, right wing, evangelical Christian extremists?

No, probably not.

So, we should start wearing our racism on our sleeves? Do we use stars or triangles, ala WW2, or come up with something new?

Responses

  1. You got that one right Shannyn! If you’re a muslim you wear the star and crescent, if you’re a liberal, you wear the hammer and sickle, if you’re a Palin supporter you get to carry your gun in public and shoot her non-supporters.

    You are so right on.

  2. Oh, one other thing, what happened to her big fat hair from Oprah’s and Barbara’s interviews? Just being petty and mean…learned it from the pro.

  3. I think we should profile anti-abortions people and republicans….how would Ms. Wasilla like that.

  4. Sarah Palin is a bigot? Color me shocked.

  5. What are with these responses and attacks? No I do not like Palin she is ignorant.
But stop stooping to her level in your responses, we are much better than that.
Profiling is illegal, it will remain illegal. Plain is just showing her stupidity of the law and of United States policy.
I am a very, very, liberal person. I do NOT wear a hammer and sickle on my sleeve. I wear an American Flag, an Alaska Flag on my sleeve and I do carry a weapon. That weapon is to protect me when I am in the wilds of Alaska, not to shoot another human.
Be smarter in your responses. Do not stoop to hillbilly Sarahs level. Again we are all better than that.

    • Of course you don’t wear a hammer and sickle if your a liberal, I said that only to make a point of the absurdity of profiling and besides I’m a very, very, very liberal myself. Don’t you get it? I’m making fun of Sarah and her absurdity. I have nothing against people who are armed for the right reasons but in the hands of a far-right wing-nut people do get killed.

What I don’t understand is your comment about stooping to her level. Sometimes you have got to fight fire with fire.

    • Mr. Baxter, Sarcasm is hard to get across online, as you witnessed. It was obvious to me though. Sometimes one can add a /sarcasm to their reply. or not. 🙂

    • PERFECT !!! WELL SAID.

  6. Given her “falafel lady” line in her book, she obviously feels no compunction in showing her racism. Actually, she’s proud of it. And she knows her supporters love her because of it.

    • sadly right

      • And her inability to pronounce John Stein’s name.

  7. When we as liberals who believe that this is a land of laws, that want to uphold the US Constitution, and Bill of Rights, start sounding like the Palins, Becks, Linbaughs, and Hannitys we really are no better than they are.
The Republicans have no moderates left. They are all far right wing nuts. They are also getting smaller and smaller in numbers. They are also so radical that the majority of Americans will see through it. So let them continue to speak and try to move forward their radical agendas. Liberals and smart people in America will prevail in 2012. The young persons in America proved that in 2008.

    • The may be getting smaller but they’re also getting bolder.

    • Mister Baxter, How do you propose fighting against the likes of some liars you’ve mentioned, when they command so much air time and own the media? One just needs to look at the rag that is ADN. During S’err0r’s reign of terror, they had not one negative word to write about her…nor her policies.

I disagree with your statement that their numbers are getting smaller. They’re just crawling out of the woodwork.

  8. Thomas is correct. We are a country of laws and it is obvious that Sarah Palin feels no need to follow the law. If breaking a law advances her agenda so be it. Hypocracy in peep toe pumps. George Bush taught her well. Hypocracy in cowboy boots…same thing, different footwear

  9. We certinly need to be more vigilant with a divisive type like Palin . She isn’t nearly as scary as the folks that follow her blindly without verifying her diliberate , malicious , subtle and bombastic drivel .
I certailnly hope you are correct in that “Americans will see through it” and will want to see through it. I will be cautiously optimistic. I feel better now . I’ts off my chest . I will take the high road on this . Good advice . However we still need to continue to call out blatant Palin untruths .

    • The blatant Palin untruths does not deter her followers. That’s what is scary.

      • And that is what makes Palin so dangerous.
Palin runs her mouth with no thought of the consequences of her actions, and what actions her words provoke – actions by unstable people.
The sooner this big fraud called Palin is exposed, the safer we all will be.

  10. She’s wearing her stupid on her sleeve.

  11. like the onion site

    http://911truthpedia.org/

there’s a satire section on Palin around
    ‘The media wouldn’t do that’

    enjoy 🙂

  12. Shannyn:

As SP walks down the street, can you see her stupidity slosh side to side???

WHAT is up with her?? I’m SOOOO sorry that you guys had to tolerate her as a Governor…It’s amazing how her ‘book’ tour has turned, overnight, into the hit and lie tour…

  13. I gotta go with $arah on this one, a little profiling is a good thing. I get “profiled” by the Troopers every time I take to the Highway, if I meet someone wearing a towel on their head and robes with a knife stuck into the sash I’m going to make some basic “profile” assumptions about them. If I meet someone with a suit, tie, polished shoes and a bible under their arm I’m going to “profile” them into a specific set of pigeon holes.
I will make basic judgments about you based on your clothes, skin color, hair style, facial construction, body type, elocution, references, friends, car, home, pets etc. If you want to get away from it pass a law that everyone must drive a Prius and wear a white Burka, then I’ll have to find some other way of judging your worth.

    • It would not have been necessary to profile the Ft. Hood shooter. There were alarm bells going off for a number of years. Would the military include depression, requesting release from the military, refusal of request, deployment at age 39, emails to known terrorists, concerns expressed by his chaplain, co-workers, and so on? The FBI and CIA were caught off guard – not expecting a U.S. born and raised career officer to harbor resentment and anger sufficient to cause such violence. There are many practicing Muslims inthe military who would not fit a profile of danger to their fellow soldiers any more than a depressed angry christian, Jew, or atheist.

      • Nora-I totally agree! The more I hear, I cannot believe it! I feel bad for the people he counseled at Ft. Hood. So many people knew, but nobody shared info.- just amazing!

    • Good. I have my suit on and nice tie, shiny shoes, can I interest you in a rollicking good investment? My name is Bernie Madoff and I’m white.

Give your head a shake, Webmusher.

  14. Poor Shannyn. Seriously. Comparing Tiller to Fort Hood? You make them sound they’re same situations. Both murders obviously.

    • Truth be told, At the end of the day, with all due respect, and, also, too, terrorists who think their beliefs trump other people’s rights.

  15. What the….
What does she expect the media to do when she calls for profiling?
Why cant she just get it overwith and hold up a copy of the bill of rights, on teevee, and rip it up!

When is our government going to investigate the PALIBAN extremists?

  16. Profile, Baby, Profile!

She’s at her best when she’s among her worshippers, so letting her hair down and showing her true colors on Faux Gnus is about what I expected.

You’re so right about Sarah being a racist and a hypocrite.

  17. The Twitter Quitter’s biggest trepidation about going on Oprah was the prospect of hugging a black person for the first time in her life.

    • Ms. Palin showed her ignorance (an old school word related to prejudice) when she condescendingly told Oprah, when describing her childhood, ” You may not relate, Oprah” She has no clue as Oprah’s bio after gushing about being such a fan when Sarah was a ‘stay at home Mom.’

I can’t even be sarcastic or cynical. She puts my children & grandchild at risk every time she opens her mouth or signs a book. Actually, my heart is quite heavy.

  18. Yes. She DOES want profiling. Even though her behavior is absolutely mysterious, she’s predictable only in her strangeness. Profiling might help sort it all out.
Although, how much more do we need? Can she just be done?

  19. The question this chump asks $’err0r is loaded. Of course she’s going to jump in with both feet. If she can say the code word ‘terrorist’, like Pavlov’s dog [and G. Bush], she’s on it. Rowf.

I say we profile $’err0r and her pal Muthee and expose what their beliefs are… indeed. Speaking of secret code words LOL! That’s rich. That’s why you’ll be clobbered, $’err0r! omg.

Thanks for all your good work Shannyn.

  20. Go ahead and increase the number of deaths, along with the murder in the mother’s womb.

  21. It’s not clear to me that Sarah Palin actually “thinks” about any unfortunate grouping of words that tumble haplessly out of her piehole. She clearly doesn’t comprehend most of the conversations in which she is ostensibly an active participant. Remember the Sarkozy “Nailin’ Palin” prank call? She clearly had no idea she was being punked and seemed to think that she was actually being flattered. I think that the Hannity conversation could be in the same category. She just agrees with the friendly conservative interviewer no matter what.

She has these hazy, partially formed, incredibly vague ideas about God (she’s for Him), Satan (she’s against HIM), conservatism (it’s being like Ronald Reagan and she’s for him), and fascism/socialism/communism (it’s being like Obama and she is NOT for HIM). Of course, she doesn’t really have any idea what it any of these things really means.

    She is a feckless moron.

    • Think you need to learn a little more about history. History proves spending NEVER works. Look at Bush. Biggest spender in History. Why is Obama spending more? Idiot. Alaska was in excellent shape when Sarah cut spending a year and half ago. Idiot.

      • Jimmy,
You need to be specific, regarding history and spending. Bush spent the most? You’ll find the money went to his buddies’ companies. One needs to look at where the money is being spent and not making blanket statements such as yours, mkay?

  22. […] I do find it curious, that a woman who complains about sexism in the media, has also called for racial/religious profiling of Muslims  in the military, in the wake of the Ft. Hood […]

  23. By the way Shannyn, thanks for taking my advice and finally attack Palin on a political issue. I’d rather see this than other meaningless posts you’ve been posting.

    • Jimmy,
For one so devoted to discussions of the issues, your rants are incomprehensible. Palin is an inarticulate clod who has no record of accomplishment. She is a limelight junkie who was unable to fulfill her oath to the citizens of Alaska. In the parallel universe in which you apparently exist, you may view her quitting as some grand, noble gesture, those of us with functioning frontal lobes do not.

Sarah Palin is a pathological liar whose book is seemingly devoted to settling petty vendettas. She punches down, WAY down and this woman – and apparently you – seem to think has any credibility any longer?

Sarah Palin is a feckless moron who attracts feckless morons. Are you attracted to her?

      • You can change the Palin to every liberal and conservative out there and still tell the truth. Guess someone’s new to politics

  24. Any more issues and not personal attacks?

  25. Does she forget that Hasan is an American? So is she saying that because he is an American MUSLIM that he should be profiled?

Red flags were indeed flying high with respect to Hasan’s psychopathic leanings and the authorities failed to deal with him for years. Just like others with their extreme beliefs, like those involved in the Oklahoma bombing and Dr. Tiller’s murder, the authorities failed to deal with these murderers before innocent lives were lost.

In Palin’s last couple of interviews she has opened an even bigger question about her true beliefs. To Barbara Walters she said that Israel should be able to do what they wanted and expand their settlements (forget all about the Palestinians). And now she is suggest (racial) profiling. Gee, I wonder what our friends in the Middle East are hearing?

  26. Palin is taking a page out of Ann Coulter’s playbook — say shocking, hatelful things in order to draw attention to yourself and sell books to the frightened, uneducated masses. Works like a charm for Coulter. Will work for the dingbat Palin also, too. Wink-wink.

  27. Wonder if she would’ve answered the question the same way if it was about Timothy McVeigh? She does indeed forget – or never understood – that Hasan is American, but then she may not consider Obama American either. She is right that if there were warning signs concerning a member of the military then they should have been dealt with, but does she understand what profiling even is?

  28. Ms. Palin will never experience the pain of profiling thanks to the political correctness of one of those pesky civil right bills, her child will be legally protected against the ‘profiling’ disabled American’s received for years.

And thanks to the Disability Act, it is illegal for her child to be profiled and harrassed with the insensitivity of politically incorrect remarks, taunting, and hate crimes children and adults are capable of. Should Trig experience any moment of politically incorrect profiling from a school child, she will have the money and the means and the power to challenge the school board, or change schools and protect him. Not like the millions of helpless and powerless parents of the ‘populus’ she loves to pretend she is part of.

Those parents whose minority children will be the recipients of the ramped-up anger her irresponsible rhetoric releases.

Palin Confuses Iraq And Iran In Hannity Interview (VIDEO)

Sarah Palin picked celebrity interviewers and right-wing pundits for her book promotion tour, probably to avoid embarrassments like last year’s Katie Couric interview.

But even a friendly interview can be treacherous. In a sit-down with Fox News’ Sean Hannity Wednesday night, the former Alaska governor confused Iraq and Iran several times.

Asked about how to prevent Iran from getting nuclear weapons, Palin responded by suggesting we get tough with Iraq.

“We have allies who are as concerned about Ahmadinejad’s actions as we are,” she said.

“Cutting off the imports into Iraq, of their refined petroleum products.

They’re reliant … on those imports. We have some control over there.

And some of the beneficial international monetary deals that Iraq benefits from, we can start implementing some sanctions there and start really shaking things up and telling Ahmadinejad, nobody is going to stand for this.”

    • That was too funny. Thanks for posting it. Imagine her being the Prez and we get into a conflict and she sends the troops to the wrong country.

The US Army Keeping Media From Palin Event

RALEIGH, N.C. — The U.S. Army plans to prevent media from covering Sarah Palin’s appearance at Fort Bragg, fearing the event will turn into political grandstanding against President Barack Obama, officials said Thursday.

Fort Bragg spokesman Tom McCollum told The Associated Press that Bragg’s garrison commander and other Army officials had decided to keep media away from Palin’s book promotion. He said the Army did not want the Monday event to become a platform to express political opinions “directed against the commander in chief.”

“The main reason is to stop this from turning into a political platform,” he said. “There are Army regulations that basically prohibit military reservations from becoming political platforms by politicians.”

    ******************************************************************************
He said only one politician can use that platform, “and that person does it as our commander in chief.”
    ******************************************************************************

Other members of the public would be permitted to attend the event.

Palin, the former Alaska governor and 2008 Republican vice presidential nominee, has already agreed not to give a speech at Bragg, McCollum said. But he worried that Palin’s supporters might make the event political and use the media to express opinions from the base.

“This will stop someone from grandstanding,” he said.

A spokeswoman for Palin’s publisher, HarperCollins, did not immediately return a call seeking comment. (BOO HOO)

  31. There was a leader in Germany that used profiling for political gain. It lead to WWII and concentration camps.

    We should be very concerned!

  32. Interesting that the military is keeping the press off the base for Palin’s Fort Bragg shindig, but not the general public. How is that going to keep it from being a political referendum against Obama? It won’t prevent the teabaggers from protesting, they just won’t get national coverage. If they wanted to prevent it from becoming an anti-Obama circus, they would keep Palin from having her gathering on the base.

  33. I didn’t know private citizens can do book signings, promotional, and sell commercial products or Military Bases.

Pretty easy to predict that big corporations are going to demand and sue for equal access.

Someone had to pull strings at the Pentagon, to let the christian crusader sell her stuff on Military bases.

    • I am with Wolf Pack. Why is a private citizen allowed to sell her product on a Military Base. And media kept away?

    • Since Palin has called for racial profiling in the military, on FOX’s Hannity’s program, I’m passing this along:
